About ME

Hi and welcome to Mel's Mission. I'm Melissa, the founder and creator of Mel's Mission.

During my time working in a skilled nursing facility, the most common thing my patients would say to me was, “I don't want to be a burden to my children or family”. My patients were always concerned about how they would manage their medications, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, self-care, and so much more once they returned home. 

This is when the idea for Mel's Mission came about. I want to be the one to help and to take the burden away and in doing so, help improve people’s quality of life. My passion is to help others and their families. 

So, a little about me. I have a combined 18+ years of experience working in a skilled nursing facility and in homecare. I am married to my amazing hubs, Jason, and we have two boys, Parker, Preston, and four fur babies, Beckett, Jack, Patch, and Izzy. I'm a runner who especially loves Disney races. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, working out, attending music bingo, playing board games, vacationing in OBX, and traveling.
